Brains Not Brawn is a story that was first published in Scribble Magazine.
It tells the story of Terry who cannot go away to University after an accident which crushed his legs. He is therefore forced to stay at home, pampered by his mother. His main companion is Victor, a disembodied brain who lives in a glass jar in the basement.
The School Run is a poem I wrote after trying to negotiate the centre of Pannal village in the mornings. The village is small and the primary school is situated on the main road, and is no more than half a mile from any of the houses. Despite this, the main street was always full of 4 by 4's depositing their children. This poem was first broadcast on Radio Ryedale.
Going Postal is a review of the Terry Pratchett novel "Going Postal" which was published in Writers' Forum
